Msn Filter - An Apology (maybe)

The image “http://img311.imageshack.us/img311/5582/10000a3ov.gif” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

A couple of posts ago I posted about Microsoft's latest release MSN Filter which is supposibly 'your one-stop shop for the inside scoop on what's happening across the Web'.

My main gripe I had was the idea of Microsoft having all sorts of rules and regulations over these 'payed bloggers'. However I may have jumped the gun a little as John Flinn contacted me who is an editor of the filters and he had this to say:

"Well thanks for checking it out at least! I'm one of the Filter editors ... :-) I just had to add that while we're paying the Filter bloggers, they're totally free to write about what they find interesting. Yup, the Tech guy can write about Linux, the Music blogger doesn't have to ignore the Ipod ... hey, this is the blogosphere afer all..... cheers. John"

If what he said is true I take back my previous comment 100%. But I'm going to keep an eye on these filters and see.
